Another Great Day on the Salish Sea!

It was another great day out on the water! Not only were conditions perfect, with the sun shining and boats heading out on seas like glass, it was also an awesome day for sightings with Skipper Marek claiming his last trip “saw almost everything!” Our Resident L pod was in the area all day, travelling together and feeding off Salmon Banks, as well as several Humpbacks (with one amazing breach and some tail thrashing), some Harbour Porpoise and a Bald Eagle. Perhaps the most exciting event of the days was the season’s first sighting of a Sea Otter! Although all our marine staff was excited, this little Sea Otter was all Skipper Rush could talk about when he came back from his trip. Looks like we’re in for some more good weather and hopefully some even better sightings as we head into August!
