Nestled in a bay along the northern coastline of Vancouver Island, on the traditional land of the Namgis First Nation, lies a small village known as Telegraph Cove. Humpback whales at starboard Wonderful experience. Crew are incredibly knowledgeable, open to answering questions and know how to deal with large groups.

Tour was well booked regarding group size. There were plenty of clear viewing points on the boat and it never felt rushed.

We saw humpback whales, which was incredible, and then ventured towards the islands on which we picked out a few deer and bald eagles.

Highly recommend this tour. Was the highlight of our stay,

Best part of my vacation! We did the half day whale watching tour from Victoria on May 28, 2019 (the 12:15 tour). We had an excellent time! We spent a good 20 minutes watching 2 humpbacks near Saturna Island- Heather and Raptor- and they swam right up to our boat! Such an amazing experience. We also saw seals lying on the rocks, a bald eagle, and another humpback made a quick appearance on our way back to Victoria!
I highly recommend this tour. Our boat was a good size and could accommodate a lot of people, but being a weekday, it wasn't too crowded, which was great for us :)
The crew on our tour were Chris, Bill, Val, Lili, and Maia. They were excellent.
I want to also give a shoutout to Lili- she sent me photos of the whales through email on her own time- which I appreciated so much, and its such a nice touch :)
Thank you for a great experience. This was my first time in Victoria, but I'm coming back for sure, and I'll be sure to book another whale watching tour!

Fun and Informative for all ages! WOW!! Days later I am still blown away. What a truly amazing experience my friend and I had with this tour company.
The staff on the boat were Aaron,Selena,Aurdra and Wilma who were all friendly and accommodating during the excursion never failing to offer hot beverages the entire trip. My friend and I sat on the top deck with Wilma who was just lovely and filled with knowledge and smiles. She had a great personality and taught us SOOOO much about the whales , specifically the group of Orcas we were able to see for an hour!!! Not only that, she also had so much to teach us about the other wild life, surrounding islands and the local flora and fauna. In comparison to the other whale watching companies Prince of whales seemed to have the bigger better boats. I am Sooo happy i was able to experience this. As a travel agent i would 10/10 recommend this to my clients :)

Amazing adventure Just stunning! Such a lovely experience to top of our Vancouver trip. We saw several Humpbacks, Porpoises, Sea lions, harbour seals and plenty of birds. The staff were fabulous and were also genuinely excited to see the Whales too. They were so informative and kept the trip interesting even on the long waits while the whales went for a big dive. The boat was clean and comfortable with large viewing platform so everyone could see and inside were large viewing windows. Overall a great trip and one I’ll remember for a long time.

Amazing! Amazing! We booked the one-way Vancouver to Victoria tour with guides Amy and James and wow, was it worth it! Our guides were extremely friendly and helpful and made a point of talking to everyone separately. My partner also decided to propose to me on the boat and the staff was very enthusiastic and made sure to make a lot of pictures :3 :3 :3 We were on the big catamaran, which takes 95 people max, but can seat 95 people both upstairs as downstairs, so you both have a seat in- as outdoor. We were only about 25 people though, which is crazy. We got to see a humpback whale (nicknamed Zigzag, you can recognise the different ones by the tale) with it's calf, seals and eagles and my partner saw a porpoise as well. We got to spent about 30min with the humpback before we needed to continue to Victoria, and the captain didn't think that was enough, so they called it a "no-whale" tour anyway, so we could go again! The guides came around near the end to tell us that and to explain what we were to do, to redeem this. They also showed us a map of the route we had taken with signalisation about where we had seen what.

To book the new tour we had to pay 5 dollar per person adminstration costs and we went again two days later. This time we did the normal whale-watching tour from Vancouver with Aaron, Wilma (with us on the upper deck :D), Selena and Becky. This boat was slightly smaller and slightly less comfortable and with more people on board. It was still an amazing experience though. We stayed with two killer whales (T077-family) for about half an hour (I really hope they found their mom back by now! :'( :'( ) and then went to see another humpback-whale (who did a full breach, which is extremely rare in this region!) with her calf.

I can highly recommend this company and would never want to try another one after this wonderful experience with them.

A great day for Orca A great 4 hours watching a pod of orca hunt a porpoise. And then we saw humpback whales off in the distance - at least 4 breaching and tail slapping.

An excellent mix of great whale watching and good information from the naturalists on board. The weather was good - the boat easy to move around on, and even a nice hot cup of tea (or coffee or hot chocolate) when we boarded.

I love watching wild animals at any time - today was very special. A big thanks to the Captain and crew at Prince of Whales for a wonderful afternoon!
