What is Biosphere?

Biosphere is an internationally recognized certification program that empowers businesses and organizations to embrace sustainability, ensuring they play a vital role in preserving the planet and helping to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. The program is designed to define, organize, and showcase an entity’s sustainable goals and priorities from a single platform, enabling them to connect their best practices with global principles and targets.

We have been dedicated to safeguarding marine life and the marine environment since we began our operations. The Biosphere Certification now officially recognizes the efforts we put forth to continue improving our operations and interactions with wildlife. We are passionate about sustainability and conservation, as we are proud members of the PWWA and the WCA, and we actively work with Surfrider and Sea Smart to keep our oceans healthy. We are a certified Climate Positive company through Ostrom Climate and a proud member of 1% for the Planet. As a member of 1% for the Planet, Prince of Whales donates a minimum of 1% of our annual revenue to environmental causes. This commitment reflects the company’s dedication to protecting the environment and contributing to a more sustainable future. Prince of Whales has also partnered with various organizations to promote conservation efforts and education about marine wildlife. Through our Climate Positive designation we offset at least 110% of our carbon emission, while supporting local conservation initiatives.
