Fantastic! Today we went on a zodiac with our skipper, Rush. It was really amazing. We saw a big group of humpback whales. Later we saw three killer whales, one was grey (albino whale) They were hunting a dolphin and they got him. Really crazy to see from so nearby. Rush gave us a lot of information and was a great skipper! The weather was great and the boat ride was really fantastic!

Great trip and crew and whales First of all the crew (Capt. Joe, 1st Mate Lily, Rory, Valerie, etc.) were the best. They were knowledgeable, friendly and patient. After a great deal of searching we found a pod (the J pod) of over 20 whales.
Lessons learned : dress warmly, in layers with hat and gloves because the boat(Ocean Magic) really moves and the wind really blows.
    It was a fantastic afternoon.

great staff and amazing sightings sightings! Prince of Whales in Telegraph Cove is the best place to go for whale watching. On our last trip of the week, we saw transient orca whales hunting for their lunch. It was an amazing experience and we saw up to 30 orcas at a time! We also saw 4 humpback whales on that same trip. Overall great time and the staff were so nice and informative. We want to give a special thanks to Rebecca for making the trip even better.

Great staff, well organized, and WHALES! Dress warmly for these whale watching adventures as it can get a little chilly on the upper deck. Not to worry though, they have gloves, hats and blankets to keep you warm. They found us 6 or 7 visible whales, males, female and calves for us to marvel over. The sea lions, deer and big horn sheep were a major plus.

Got to see Orca Whales! We went out on the first day, and didn't see any whales. However, they allow you to come back anytime for no charge. We ended up going the next day, and within 10 minutes, saw a pod of orca whales! The guides are very knowledgable, and they respect the wildlife. Would definitely recommend.

Whale Watching without the Whales! Although the whales decided not to grace us with their presence the boat ride was fun!! My father, my husband and I enjoyed the zodiac ride trying to find them. Beautiful scenery! Jasper, our captain, was knowledgeable, and very friendly. The sea lions, seals and eagles were impressive ... especially the sea lions!

Orcas and Humpbacks Did the Ultimate Day Trip to Victoria, very well organised and the staff were professional, friendly and passionate about the wildlife. We saw humpbacks on the way to Vancouver Island and spent a lovely afternoon at Butchart Gardens. The bus stops right outside of the Fairmont Empress so we had lunch there, however there are plenty of lunch options in the area. The 2.00pm bus gave us sufficient time at the gardens before our 4.15pm pick up. On the way home, our crew was in contact with other boats - there had been no orcas spotted south, so our crew decided to take a different route home to try the northern waters. Sure enough, we spotted a small pod of orcas just before reaching Vancouver. Very impressed with the crew Anthony, Sandy, James and Amy, what a great day out!

Tours operate rain or shine! Safety is our priority and, in extreme weather conditions or high winds, adventures may be cancelled at the discretion of our qualified crew. We will be in touch should this be the case.

Will we really see whales?

Yes! There is a high chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, and other types of whale on your tour. Our year-round whale sighting success rate is ~95% (averaged across all of our adventures) with chances being even higher during summer months.

The boat we use for this tour is equipped with two airline-style washrooms.

Do passengers often feel seasick?

No, our boats are custom-built for whale watching with passengers in mind. Captain and crew will also do their best to minimize the impact of the sea. However, if you are prone to seasickness, we recommend you purchase non-drowsy Gravol from a pharmacy prior to your adventure with us.

Complementary tea, coffee & hot chocolate will be available on board. Light snacks (chips, cookies, chocolate bars) can be purchased with CAD cash. You can also bring your own snacks.
