Whale of a time What an incredible trip. Setting off on the early whale watching cruise. We left Victoria in one of the new craft Saltash Sea Eclipse with Captain Bill and Joe, together with crew Lili and Laura. First stop was an island nature reserve with sea lions, sealsl, Cormorants and a Bald eagle. What made the trip was the helpful crew Lili and Laura who were extremely knowlageable about the area and wildlife. We spent an hour watching a large group of humpback whales with good commentary from the crew. Nothing was too much trouble from a very professional team, with help yourself complimentary hot drinks and blankets to help you keep warm. Overall a fantastic experience.

Great time whale watching Visiting from Arizona, we decided to explore the whale watching excursion from Prince of Whales. The captain and crew were great. We saw three humpback whales, seals, and other marine life. All of the crew were very knowledgeable and kept us informed during our half day. Our guide Wilma made the voyage very informative. Highly recommend.

Fantastic We had a wonderful time on this whale-watching cruise. The crew was exceptionally informative and their care for the whales' environment was inspiring. Besides being the café crew (with very welcome hot drinks), they were happy to share their knowledge for the whole trip. They were a very friendly and hospitable crew. We didn't see the captain, as he was busy gathering whale-sighting information from other boats and guiding us to the best spots. We saw resident orcas and humpback whales, but even if we had not seen any, the trip would have been a highlight of this Vancouver trip. I will definitely book again when I return to Vancouver.

Amazing day Amazing experience from start to finish. Staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Once the trip day and time were picked the excitement built. On the boat the staff were fun, caring and knowledgeable not only about the whales but of all the wildlife and surrounding areas. Would go again in a heart beat.

Family had a great time! My husband and I actually did a zodiac whale watching trip for our first year anniversary in 2002. Now we are a family of 5, living in Pittsburgh. So when decided to take our annual vacation back in the NW, it had to include this whale watching trip! We were not disappointed. Our 8 year old son, and 12 & 15 year old daughters all had a wonderful experience. Of course it helped that it was a beautiful day and we saw two pods of Orca whales (transients). We also saw seals and bald eagles. It does get windy, so (sun)glasses are must. There is a place to put a small day pack so we brought granola bars for the kids and water bottles.

Beautfiul day on the water A perfect day out with a great crew. The sun was shining and the water smooth. We headed out of False Creek towards Howe Sound and up as far north as Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast. Along the way, we stopped to see harbour seal mums and pups hauled out, cormorants and glaucous-winged gulls and their fuzzy chicks. Crossing the Salish Sea we came across a lazy crew of Stellar sea lions enjoying the day as much as us. A guest made the first humpback sighting, and the naturalists were able to identify specific animals. Over our time floating nearby we observed a range of behaviour and the naturalists share more about the animals' life cycles, migration, history and threats. A small group of porpoises cruised through to round off the marine mammal sightings. On the way back to the dock, we paused near Lighthouse Park to see the swimmers, slackliners and eagles resting in the trees. Thank you Anthony, Sandy, Rory, James and Hannah for a fantastic afternoon.

With careful COVID processes in place and decreased numbers aboard, this is the year for locals to take advantage of what's in our own backyard!

Wonderful day! A terrific day with a friendly and knowledgable crew. We saw several orca pods, a humpback and a bald eagle.Choice of indoor and outdoor seating for various times of day. Snacks, beer and wine for the trip to Victoria was a nice bonus. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish. The Empress Hotel and Butchart Gardens are stunning. Staying over night in Victoria would be fun. We did not do that. Cynthia from Austin
