Do tours run in all types of weather?

Tours operate rain or shine! Safety is our priority and, in extreme weather conditions or high winds, adventures may be cancelled at the discretion of our qualified crew. We will be in touch should this be the case.

Will we really see whales?

Yes! There is a high chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, and other types of whale on your tour. Our year-round whale sighting success rate is ~95% (averaged across all of our adventures) with chances being even higher during summer months.

What happens if we don’t see a whale?

This adventure is covered by our year-round Whale Sighting Guarantee. In the unlikely case, we do not see whales on this adventure, you can join us on another whale watching tour. This guarantee is valid for a lifetime!

Are there bathrooms on the boat?

The boat we use for this tour is equipped with two airline-style washrooms.

Do passengers often feel seasick?

No, our boats are custom-built for whale watching with passengers in mind. Captain and crew will also do their best to minimize the impact of the sea. However, if you are prone to seasickness, we recommend you purchase non-drowsy Gravol from a pharmacy prior to your adventure with us.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are definitely recommended. Adventures often sell out and we don’t want you to be disappointed.

Amazing! Do not miss this trip. We were unusually lucky in that we had a female humpback whale take an interest in our boat, hence these photos that were taken with my iPhone! The long telephoto lense on my “proper” camera was virtually useless 😂 We also saw two pods of Orca meet and play, with youngsters too. It was an unforgettable experience. The crew knew where to find the animals and were so informative (and friendly). The Orca were about 200m away, which is the safe/required distance but when the Humpback came to investigate us the engines were switched off and we waited until she got bored! We saw Bald Eagles and seals too. We covered 92 nautical miles and were out for nearly 5 hours, The boat has simple refreshments and 2 heads, so is fine to be on for so long and absolutely worth it!! I know we were particularly lucky, but talking to locals it seems these guys have a fantastic hit rate, so you are almost certain to see whales. Part of your ticket price and refreshments cost go to support marine conservation. Highly recommended

Beautiful morning trip with lots of whales Had a great trip with my lovely wife on our wedding anniversary on the new catamaran. The crew were excellent and the trip was awesome. We saw a pod of 8 orcas and three humpbacks as well as an island full of sea lions. Laura was our deck guide. She shared her extensive knowledge and clear passion for the subject matter with us which made the trip even more enjoyable and educational. We went on the morning trip which I would recommend.

whales! We had an awesome time on the boat and with the guides. We got to see a momma whale and her baby, seals, sea lions, eagles, and beautiful water surrounding us. I recommend this company!!! It was fun with a 16-month old, too! :)

Thrill of a lifetime We were treated to see Orcas and Humpbacks!
    What a trip
The boat was equipped with blankets, scarfs, hats if needed.
The presentation by the Naturist were both informative and amusing.
The safety procedures were presented pretty well before we left the dock.

Second whale tail Second trip out with the Prince of Whales crew and another big success.A quick blast out from Vancouver and we came across a Humpback with its young. Then onto three more locations with more whales. Got a couple of great shots of their tails coming out of the water. Great information provided by Olivia and Selena on all the things we saw.
    The company never disappoints!

Humpbacks and orcas, oh my! First off, I was impressed with the company’s follow through on safety. My husband booked us for the zodiac, but when they learned of his recent operation they insisted we do the bigger boat instead. He still thinks he would have been fine, but I am glad that we didn’t take the chance at their insistence.

We had a great tour, we saw both orcas and humpbacks, which they told us doesn’t happen often. The guides were amazing and very informative. And a big thank you to Lili for sharing her wonderful photos with those of us that are amateurs with the camera - I know I appreciate them!

We had a lovely afternoon with you all out on the water - thank you!

I've been living for almost 2 years in Vancouver and I didn't know I was missing such a nice activity. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect and in the end I was happy that I decided to book this tour. We saw two pairs of whales, a bunch of sea lions and learnt a lot about them thanks to Hannah, James and Amy. The staff was super nice, they seemed to know very well what they were talking about and you could tell they liked it, too. Also, having free hot chocolate, coffee or tea is a big plus, specially when it's a bit cold out there.

A recommended activity if you have 4 hours free.
