Do tours run in all types of weather?

Tours operate rain or shine! Safety is our priority and, in extreme weather conditions or high winds, adventures may be cancelled at the discretion of our qualified crew. We will be in touch should this be the case.

Will we really see whales?

Yes! There is a high chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, and other types of whale on your tour. Our year-round whale sighting success rate is ~95% (averaged across all of our adventures) with chances being even higher during summer months.

What happens if we don’t see a whale?

This adventure is covered by our year-round Whale Sighting Guarantee. In the unlikely case, we do not see whales on this adventure, you can join us on another whale watching tour. This guarantee is valid for a lifetime!

Are there bathrooms on the boat?

The boat we use for this tour is equipped with two airline-style washrooms.

Do passengers often feel seasick?

No, our boats are custom-built for whale watching with passengers in mind. Captain and crew will also do their best to minimize the impact of the sea. However, if you are prone to seasickness, we recommend you purchase non-drowsy Gravol from a pharmacy prior to your adventure with us.

Are there snacks or beverages on board?

Complementary tea, coffee & hot chocolate will be available on board. Light snacks (chips, cookies, chocolate bars) can be purchased with CAD cash. You can also bring your own snacks.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are definitely recommended. Adventures often sell out and we don’t want you to be disappointed.

awesome! We had a wonderful day! We saw a pod of orcas, two different humpback whales, seals, and harbor dolphins. The crew were as excited to see them as we were! The crew were attentive, engaging, and charming. It was cold, so be prepared!

Once in a lifetime experience We were apprehensive because of the high price tag but this has been one of our favourite activities in Vancouver. Wilma was our guide on the top deck and she was full of knowledge, stories and was very engaging. We saw 10+ humpback whales, with some well within 100 metres of the boat. Would definitely recommend.

great trip - and whales! Everything was easly - from booking to disembarking. Large fast stable boat got us to where the whales are quickly. Saw a family group of 4 transient orca - 2 male and 2 female, and 3 humpbacks - 2 of them together; literally tons of Steller's and Californian sea lions, several common seals and a couple of harbout pospoises. Very knowledgable on board naturalist guides

Absolutely worth it. I dont think this tour could've gone any better. The naturalists on board said there were 10 humpback whales, a pod of critically endangered orcas, a pile of sea lions, a pile of harbor seals, 2 bald eagles, and 2 pods of dolphins. Be prepared for frigid cold, though!

Got to see Orca Whales! We went out on the first day, and didn't see any whales. However, they allow you to come back anytime for no charge. We ended up going the next day, and within 10 minutes, saw a pod of orca whales! The guides are very knowledgable, and they respect the wildlife. Would definitely recommend.

Great Day Out Really enjoyed our day with Mar and Roya looking for whales on the way to Victoria and back to Vancouver. We saw Humpback Whales on the way out and Orcas on the way back. Victoria was neat and Butchart Gardens were superb. Cracking trip. Recommended.

Awesome You really can’t fault this outfit. Starting with safety instructions to very knowledgeable guides. Sandy and James, in particular, stood out. I thought, like some other outfits around the world, once you had spotted wildlife that’s it and you’d return to the harbour; these guys were different though, we stayed with the pod of humpbacks for around 45 min to 1 hour. They shut of their engines so you could enjoy the whales and also kept a respectful distance. Watching the whales swim and making their sounds was incredible, and certainly for me, a dream come true!
