Prince of Whales

At Prince of Whales, we believe in the principles of the circular economy, a system designed to minimize waste, keep resources in use for as long as possible, and support sustainable production. One of the very first steps in creating a circular economy is to shop local. By sourcing goods and services locally, we can reduce transportation emissions, support small businesses, and keep resources circulating within our community. This not only strengthens the local economy but also helps preserve regional jobs, skills, and traditions. That’s why we source as much as we can from local producers, including the snacks and beverages we serve on board our trips. Every time our guests enjoy these locally made products, they’re helping us contribute to a healthier environment and a stronger, more resilient coastal community.

To us, it matters where things come from, that’s why we do our due diligence and carefully research the partners we work with. We invest in compostable coffee cups and lids, and actively recommend our guests to bring reusable water bottles to be refilled on board.
