Prince of Whales Celebrates its Rainbow Registry Accreditation for 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion Efforts
Prince of Whales, Canada’s premier whale-watching company, is honoured to announce its receipt of the Rainbow Registry accreditation from Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce in recognition of its exceptional efforts to promote inclusivity and support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Prince of Whales is proud to be the first whale watching company in both Victoria and Vancouver to become Rainbow Registered, joining a select group of tourism operators across British Columbia committed to providing safe, inclusive, and welcoming experiences for 2SLGBTQIA+ travellers.
The company has implemented various impactful initiatives to ensure inclusivity and equity for all. These include a robust non-discrimination policy that guarantees equal treatment for employees and guests, comprehensive support for employees undergoing gender transitions, and the availability of gender-neutral facilities across all operations. To further its commitment, Prince of Whales provides diversity training and resources for staff, focusing on respectful communication and creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Prince of Whales prioritizes providing monetary and in-kind support to Pride Societies and organizations that uphold these values as a tangible expression of allyship.
