DIVING INTO THE VICTORIA FILM FESTIVAL

Prince of Whales

AND BRINGING BACK OUR CINEMA ON BOARD!

We are excited to announce we are partnering with the Victoria Film Festival and bringing back our popular “Cinema On Board” again this year!

The Victoria Film Festival prides itself on presenting a wide range of films from around the world, including those from emerging and established filmmakers. This diversity is reflected in the festival’s programming, which includes films from countries all over the globe, as well as films made by indigenous filmmakers and those from underrepresented communities.

INTO THE ICE

For this year’s film festival, we are sponsoring Lars Ostenfeld’s “Into the Ice”, a truly spectacular documentary that explores the dramatic process of deglaciation taking place in Greenland. This incredible film combines breathtaking footage of the arctic landscape with powerful messages on the impact of climate change on the region and its people. Sustainability is at the core of our business, and “Into the Ice” manages to beautifully portray the importance of it, with a call to action for viewers to take steps to protect this vulnerable and vital region. “Into the Ice” will be shown on February 8th at the Blue Bridge Theatre. Doors will open at 8:00pm and, before the screening, you will have a chance to win some fantastic prizes including Prince of Whales’ whale watching passes!

Whether you are a seasoned environmentalist or simply someone who is interested in learning more about this critical issue, this film will be well worth a watch! Buy passes here.

CINEMA ON BOARD

And back by popular demand, we are turning our catamaran into a floating cinema! Shorts will be screened on board of our vessel, making for a truly amazing experience on the water.  The festival will take place over the course of ten days in February, and our Cinema On Board will be available from the 8th to the 11th of February, and tickets are available on VFF’s website. The Cinema On Board will showcase amazing short bursts every night, such as “Indigenous Voices” on February the 10th which features “Our Way”, “Brother Rick”, “Meet the Sky” and many other shorts highlighting Indigenous cultures and voices. Some nights are already sold out, so make sure you secure your tickets asap!

The Victoria Film Festival is a must-attend event for film lovers in British Columbia and beyond. Its commitment to diversity and talent, combined with its impressive lineup of films and special events, make it a highlight of the film festival circuit in Canada. Stay tuned as tomorrow we will be giving out two tickets for the festival for you and a friend to watch one of these fantastic movies!

We can’t wait to have you on board, see you there!
