We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the North Island, our covered whale watching vessel, Ocean Magic II, has officially arrived in Telegraph Cove!
This milestone is particularly meaningful as it marks a full-circle moment after a challenging chapter. Earlier this year, a fire on the Telegraph Cove boardwalk forced many operations, including ours, to adapt quickly. But thanks to the incredible work of the construction teams and the strong spirit of Telegraph Cove Resort, our end of the pier is operational, and we have space to return home!
Our Zodiac tours were able to run for the majority of the season, allowing guests from all over the world to explore the beauty of our waters. But with the covered vessel now stationed in Telegraph Cove, guests can enjoy added comfort and protection from the elements while still taking in the breathtaking views and wildlife encounters of the Broughton Archipelago. Whether it’s a sunny summer cruise or a misty coastal morning, we’re ready to welcome you aboard. This impressive vessel offers a premium whale watching experience: it’s partially covered for comfort in any weather, equipped with onboard bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 74 guests. This vessel proudly operates our Half-Day Whale Watching Tours, which are perfect for families with children, offering comfortable seating suitable for passengers of all ages.
