1. THE GROUSE GRIND CHALLENGE
Known affectionately as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster,” the Grouse Grind is a 2.5-kilometre (just over 1.5 miles) trail that climbs the steep face of Grouse Mountain. With 2,830 steps and an elevation gain of 800 metres (2,624 feet), this popular Vancouver hike is not for the faint of heart. A mix of wooden and packed-earth stairs makes for a demanding ascent, typically taking about two and a half hours to complete. It’s a true test of endurance, best suited for experienced hikers. 9. A HIKE IN LYNN CANYON
Skip the crowds and experience the rainforest like a local at Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver. Just 15 minutes from downtown, this mossy green wonderland offers a peaceful escape with towering trees, hidden trails, and a FREE suspension bridge that’s been standing for over a century. While tourists flock to the nearby park with paid entry, savvy Vancouverites come here to hike, swim, and connect with nature. 10. THE HONDA CELEBRATION OF LIGHT

The Honda Celebration of Light is Vancouver’s biggest summer event, a world-class fireworks competition that lights up the sky over English Bay. Thousands and thousands of people gather along the beaches and seawall to watch spectacular pyrotechnics synchronized to music, creating an unforgettable atmosphere in the heart of the city. Each firework show lasts for 25 minutes! It’s a must-do summer tradition for locals and visitors alike.
